Tamieka L. Jones of A Perfect Setting needed 2 things out of her site: 1) A landing page to funnel her prospects into contacting her, and 2) A fully-functional blog to post her ideas and trends in weddings and décor. Her front page features a Mailchimp signup, embedded videos from her past clients, and a photo slideshow. Her blog, White Carpet Ready! The Blog of A New York City Wedding Planner and Stylist features custom archives and a DISQUS commenting system. The site is built upon Canvas framework by WooThemes with a completely custom look and feel.
Absolute Joy Occasions
Joy Book-Tamas, the owner of Absolute Joy Occasions, needed a site update — ASAP — for an upcoming bridal show. She had recently switched over her branding from one company name to this new one, and she needed a landing place to funnel any potential clients. The old site was very outdated and didn’t reflect the new image she wanted. The new site went up (literally!) overnight, and she was able to give her clients the new URL with confidence. Now she can work on building her following while she adds to the site as her new company grows. The site is based on the Announcement theme by WooThemes.
Built by Mom
Built by Mom is a technology services company located in Southern California. The owner, Angela Henderson, needed some assistance updating her site from flat HTML to a dynamic, WordPress-backed site with a more modern look. To accomplish this, I was brought in on an hourly basis to provide my expertise in HTML, CSS, PHP, WordPress, marketing and user interfaces. Being a geek herself, Angela was very hands-on with the project as well, providing the content and information about her business that was needed to pull the project together. The result is a clean, effective site based on the Biznizz theme by WooThemes.
EEMIAJ
EEMIAJ is a site for artfully crafted cards, gifts, baby announcements, party decorations, kid craft sets, and other handmade things. It was created using the Canvas framework by WooThemes with heavy use of the NextGEN Photo Gallery. The site features custom CSS, a beautiful full-color front page slider to show off Jaimee’s work, and a custom order form. E-commerce for the site is provided through the client’s Esty Store, linked with a custom shop button.
Firefly Occasions
The original design of the Firefly Occasions site was created by another design company, but it suffered from a lot of problems in terms of usability and readability. This is where I stepped in, helping Ciara Daykin to rebrand, repurpose and simplify the site as a whole. The final result helps Ciara attract the type of clients she wants to work with. The project included larger fonts, better stylesheets, custom posts and functions for a new gallery, new custom templates, better back-end structure, and a new blog which is coming soon. The site was also upgraded to Infusionsoft to collect data from all of the contact and interest forms.
Isabel Furie Photography
Isabel Furie at Isabel Furie Photography is a very talented photographer based in Massachusetts. She wanted a simple site with a lot of whitespace so that her photos could shine through. Her site is built upon the Canvas framework by WooThemes with a whole lot of fun extras thrown in. I used WordPress custom posts, custom templates, PHP and JQuery to build out Isabel’s front page and photo galleries, making it easy for her to upload and edit her photos with no programming knowledge. I also used CSS to create a floating social media bar that would make the connections accessible yet not distracting from the beautiful photos on the site. To complete the look, I worked with Isabel to select fonts from the Google webfont library to embed on her site.
Peaceful Quest Retreats
Peaceful Quest Retreats is a quiet little resort tucked into the mountains of North Carolina. The owner needed both a logo and a website to reflect the green, tranquil nature of the location. The site is based upon the Headlines theme by WooThemes, with marketing and SEO provided by Michelle Carroll of 1 Stop Marketing Solutions. Combined with imagery of the venue and the grounds, the end result is a site that reminds the visitor of a day spent relaxing by the pond, watching the dragonflies skirt around in the sunlight.
Rockstar Wedding Planner
Rockstar Wedding Planner is the wedding and event planner coaching business of Ciara Daykin. The site has had many variations over the years, with the current one being more of a landing page while Ciara is working on her new programs for this year. The site is built upon the Canvas framework by WooThemes, with plenty of whitespace to avoid clutter. It uses Infusionsoft for all of the autoresponder and contact forms to track and tag all contacts for the site.
Rockstar Wedding Planner LIVE!
Rockstar Wedding Planner LIVE is an annual event hosted by Rockstar Wedding Planner with a different theme (and a new site!) every year. For this year’s theme, Inspire & Innovate, I used the look and feel of some of the recent marketing campaigns leading up to the event. As the event is still a bit away, the site is currently in a preview phase and more content will be added as the event details are released. This site has also recently been upgraded to Infusionsoft for all of the purchasing processes and interest forms.
Vail Lake Resort
The Vail Lake Resort site is a corporate site for the largest private lake in Southern California, designed to attract new visitors, let them know about activities at the resort, and facilitate in selling memberships and reservations. The site is a WordPress theme modification of the Aperture theme by WooThemes. I created opportunities for cross-linking between the two sites, and developed event galleries through social media connections and Flickr. Hosting, maintenence, ongoing e-blast scheduling, analytics tracking, and other marketing support was also provided for both sites.
Vail Lake Resort Entertainment & Events
The Vail Lake Resort Entertainment & Events site is a companion site to the Vail Lake Resort site. The site is a WordPress theme modification of the City Guide theme by WooThemes. The site features sections for ongoing activities, resort amenities, and current events. I also created a main slider area for the site to advertise 1-5 items, and provided ongoing marketing support such as e-mail marketing with Constant Contact.
Wedding Planner Abundance
Wedding Planner Abundance was a squeeze page / niche marketing site created for Ciara Daykin at Rockstar Wedding Planner. This site relies on Infusionsoft, Vimeo and Google Analytics to track and convert visitors, and then to deliver the product. A majority of the project work time was spent inside Infusionsoft, setting up all the various forms and processes that went into Ciara’s sales funnel. The site has several variations, depending on the visitor’s referral source and the visitor’s actions while on the site.
Weddings by Alice
Alice Goetschel, the owner of Weddings by Alice, originally had a site that was outdated and difficult to maintain. The site was all flat HTML and the words were locked up in images (which is very bad for search engine optimization). She needed a new, simple site where she could post content and offer her free report. The new site is based upon the Inspire theme by WooThemes. The final result is a site that better reflects Alice’s traditional and classic style.
